I just got the iPhone 4. There is a small purple coloured arrow-head symbol next to the battery symbol on the top RHS of the phone.
Does anybody know what it signifies? It remains on even when location services are turned off.

Purple arrow is GPS / location services - not sure while it is showing up when if it is turned off-----
Something is accessing the gps location on your iphone
