I am a fresh user of I phone 4 from the middle east, without the support from any smart phone service providers like AT&T hence I am not able to use the maps feature outside home and office.
Also I find the service is not recommendable compared to the GPS services provided mobile phones like nokia.
Is there anyway to install the applications like Route 66 in my I phone 4?

It sounds like you are using the WiFi Assisted GPS - do you have Location Services turned on in settings and it is an iPhone 4 and not an iPod Touch correct? The GPS satellites should work wherever you are at...
