Other than (or in addition to?) having the appropriate Push notifications set to "On", is there a way to do a Manual "Sync Now" (of anything you have just input or edited n a Calendar, Contact, etc.) on iPhone or iPad? There is just such a button available on a MobileMe-synced Mac under System Preferences->MobileMe->Sync.

Just opening the App (Calendar or Contacts) forces a resync.If it is open already you can do a force quit of the app (double tap home, tap and hold icon until it wiggles, x it out) then reopen.
