New computer - sync OK - except it hasn't actually synced!

Apple iPhone - New computer - sync OK - except it hasn't actually synced!

New Windows 7 computer. Connected iPhone - itunes opened. Configured itunes OK - no issues. Authorised the new computer at itunes store. Sync went fine. Transferred photos, apps. personal data etc. Everything OK on the phone. No issues on the way. Just as a final check, I opened MS Outlook - zilch. All settings correct - Calendar, Contacts, Bookmarks, Notes - all set to sync with Outlook, and iTunes went through all the paces, but there is nothing at all in Outlook at the end. Advice a.s.a.p. please since I have switched computers but have no synced info.

Repeat (just in case unclear) - iTunes has done exactly what it did on the old PC, and took time doing it - no errors - but Outlook is empty at the end! It has synced but it hasn't.

You wanted your data on the iPhone to appear on the empty Outlook in your new PC?

I think there is an option in iTunes when you connect your iPhone where you can check an option to either sync the iPhone with Outlook or sync Outlook with the iPhone. You might have chosen the former.

Issue solved!

I was sure the settings were correct - and a few minutes after posting, I tried the age-old remedy for MS hiccups - I rebooted. The data all appeared in the new Outlook after reboot. And there I was thinking how much more stable the recent MS products have been............. Seems like Win 7 has just the same old Gates-induced snares and quirks. Took me a whole morning to get the iPhone and the new Win 7 laptop syncing properly (It did some odd things with the Apps too at first but all is well now)
