Eight month old iPhone 4 sets Verizon sales record from 3am to 5am

Apple iPhone - Eight month old iPhone 4 sets Verizon sales record from 3am to 5am

It have been released over the years on Verizon's network, the iPhone 4 has beaten them all. But not just beaten them, here are some amazing qualifiers:

- The 7 month old iPhone 4 that will be replaced in 5 months.
- It beat everything else in just two hours
- Those two hours were from 3am to 5 am.
- It was only available to current Verizon customers, not the world at large (AT&T customers)
- Verizon employees weren't allowed to buy them That is pretty incredible.

Also, some WalMart Stores will have the iPhone 4 at launch as well.

... The general market launch of the iPhone 4 on the Verizon Wireless network will occur on Feb. 10. The company will open its more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores at 7 a.m. It will also be available at all Apple store locations, Best Buy, select Wal-Mart stores, and online at www.verizonwireless.com and www.apple.com...

That was the most horribly written story I have seen in a while. The quoted "facts" don't even agree. Is it 8 months or 7 months old?

Where do they get the fact that it will be replaced in 5 months? I acknowledge that some ATT customers probably wish for the iPhone 5 to come out soon, but until Apple announces it, it is not fact.

This is true, but...
Apple has brought out a new iPhone in June, 2007, in July, 2008, in June, 2009, and in June, 2010.

Have you some reason to think that they WON"T do it again in June-July, 2011 ?

I have about as much reason to believe it won't on schedule as you have to believe it will. Likely, but not fact. The article makes it seem like a fact, which it is not.

Jobs likes to be unpredictable, and It seems like he has changed up the regular schedule.
