at&t to acquire T-Mobile

Apple iPhone - at&t to acquire T-Mobile

I'm wondering if the next iPhone will be 4G then because at&t will have the network faster than otherwise.

iPhone AT&T
Apple iPhone ATT
Doubt it, probably iPhone 6/ 2013. The "deal" will not be completed for a year per reports and press releases and the next iPhone will be out in ~3 months it is likely already in prototype and final development phase.

iPhone 6 should be due out in 2012 if we expect iPhone 5 this year 2011.

-----
NO, because there are no networks in existence that meet the ITU's 4G standard, no matter what the advertising departments say.

-----
And even then, is the T-Mobile LTE network big enough and robust enough to handle the traffic? Since Deutsche Telekom and been bleeding cash since buying T-Mobile, I would tend to think the LTE network is probably a bit lite to handle the load. I can not see DT sinking much more money into it over the next year, and who is to say that AT&T intends to roll T-Mobile into AT&T. They could decide to run it as a separate brand. Remember how many times they have changed their own name over the last 7 years. AT&T (orange), Cingular, then AT&T (blue).
