I have an odd problem. I upgraded to a new computer, reinstalled everything and now for some reason most, but not all, of my apps are showing up twice in iTunes. I'm a little afraid to delete the extra apps, don't know what effect that might have. Has anybody experienced this?

You can delete them all - just when it prompts you if you want to delete the files from the hard drive, say no then do File > Add to library and browse to Apps folder (iTunes\iTunes Music\Apps\) and let iTunes readd them to your library...-----
I have in the past had doubles of Apps. And when I deleted one the other remained.
