Apple iPhone - Silver over on sound on-off switch
My wife just realized that the small silver plastic cover on top of the sound on-off switch has fallen off of her 3G! She doesn¹t know when it fell off. A small sharp pointed tool is needed to toggle the sound without it.
Is there a way to buy a new one (with glue)?
The 3G is out of warranty.

Do a quick Google search and you will find some for sale. Not sure about how to get it back in there....
iFixit has the parts; http://www.ifixit.com/iPhone-Parts/iPhone-3G#10. iFixit has a pretty good reputation.

You can have this replaced usually for about 35$ if you can find a repair center. It's kind of difficult to replace since you have to remove the board and everything out of the phone. The sworn is attached to a piece of metal. It is part of the power flex cable you have to be careful not to break it or your power headphones volume and vibrate will not work.
