This request for help is for a friend. She has tried all the usual tricks and her iPhone 3G will not turn on. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

By usual does that include holding the home button and the on/off tab at the same time for 30 sec?-----
If plugging into an outlet and a computer do not work, time to take it to apple store.

Have her connect it to her computer, after connecting it press both power and home button at the same time, wait 15 seconds and release only the power button "top one" wait another 20 seconds and her phone should go into recovery mode, flash white screen and the itunes will ask if she wants to sync phone. Hit yes and recover, this should work if not her phone is dead, sorry.
