From the iPod app, trying to download more cartalk podcasts. It goes to iTunes app and says waiting. I have been waiting for a few hours.
Normally can swipe on it and then can delete it, but swiping does not work.
Any suggestions as to how to delete it.

-----Did you press the home button twice in rapid succession first? If you are in move-mode and not quit-mode, then Apple apps will not have an X.
You need to, from the home _screen_, quickly tap the home _button_ twice. This will open a window at the bottom of the screen showing the open apps. __Then__press and hold one app until they all wiggle and have an minus sign (Bill meant). Press the minus to quit the app, Apple apps included.
Did that and saw minus sign a quit that and then it worked.
