Version of iTunes?

Can anyone tell me how to find out which version of iTunes I am using and have on my computer. I do not want to upgrade and perfer to download the same version on my new laptop.

Open iTunes, click on the iTunes header at the top and then click on about; you will get a scrolling indicator of the version.

And why would you not want to go to a newer version?

Newer versions normally are more secure.
