Does anyone know if there is a way to get all of my Nano's music onto my computer so that I can sync it to my iPhone 3G? I love this music and would hate to lose it!
How did you get the music on the Nano? load it the same way on the iPhone.
-----It was music from a computer I no longer have...
-----If all else fails, pay for a years subscription to Copy Trans, use Copytrans to copy from Nano to Itunes and then from Itunes to Iphone.
-----Try sharepod it's a download for free. With it you can download your iPod songs on your pc.
-----This is a common thing with iOS devices (iPods and iPhones). For some reason, it is not obvious to everyone that the iTunes library is the "central point" that holds the *master versions* of your files. The files copied/synced to an iOS device are, in a sense, just temporary copies that could disappear at any time. All it takes is for you to lose or damage the iPod/iPhone and those files are gone *unless* you still have them in iTunes. That's not enough either: the hard-drive in your computer could fail at any time, taking all your files with it. It really is essential to take regular backups.
If you have a backup of your files on the old computer, you can restore them to the new computer. If you don't there's still a get-out. You can copy the files back from the iPod/iPhone.
