Would not turn on. Screen is dark

Apple iPhone - Brick iphone: Solution??? - would not turn on. Screen is dark

iPhone3g. would not turn on. Screen is dark. I tried everything. DFU, ect. What should I do.?

New iPhone
1- Give us a clue as to what happened before the dark screen., like woke up one morning and the screen was dark, or an upgrade or DFU got interrupted.

2- Tell us what OS you run on you computer, to give us further clues, so we can propose a solution.

3- Learn how to start a new thread or post to the list so it does not cause threading issues to some email apps and "no sender, no subject, no content" problems to those reading your post on an iPhone.

Once I went to pick up my phone and it was black, dead. The way I fixed it was: Hold down the "Home" button and the "On/Off" button (the one on the top right of your phone) at the same time for at least 20 seconds. Hopefully after holding both buttons down that long you'll see the Apple icon, meaning your phone is turning on. That may "reset" your phone, like rebooting your PC.
